Avocado and Strawberry Bliss
Avocado and Strawberry Bliss
A Gluten-free and Sugar-free Dessert that Tastes Delicious
I had an avocado that was going to waste if I didn’t use it soon so I had a look in the fridge and found a few ingredients that I thought would work together.
This is the basic method:
- Puree the avocado and mix in some crunchy peanut butter and a teaspoon of honey.
- Pour into a glass and gently stir in some chopped strawberries and chopped nuts.
- Top with more strawberries.
- Add a tablespoon of dried whole milk powder.
- Drizzle some more peanut butter mixed with a little honey on top.
You can substitute banana for the the strawberries or use both.
Our peanut butter was quite thin and runny but if yours is solid, you can add a little warm water to thin it.
I’m Brazilian and whole milk powder is a popular ingredient in cooking but you can use skimmed milk, which is much easier to find in the UK or leave it out altogether.
Keep in the fridge and server as desert.
Honey is mostly fruit sugar (fructose) so I’m using some poetic license saying it’s sugar-free but I used very little and you can leave it out altogether, if you wish.
